Article 2 was about the reasons why black lives matter! A 10 year old African male gets handcuffed, this article explains that 2 Caucasian officers are accusing a 10 year old African American male for passing a gun and breaking out of the juvenile detention center. The officers in this investigation said, that the boy fit the description. Which is being a young black man in America because were looked as of a target. It was obvious that the officers made no effort to find the actual suspect. They just accused the first black person that they thought fit their description. No one in the higher power is trying to make amends with the justice system, all their worried about is getting their taxes. This case is a perfect example of how the justice system is falling apart, think about all the previous situations that have happened before with police shootings like, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Walter Scott, Tamir Rice, and Freddie Gray. Eric Garner got killed on tape and it still didn't matter. Its just time for a change America but honestly nothing will ever change.

Summer Reading Article 3

In my opinion a summarized version of article 3 is about a man who spoke in Chinese language and had somebody translate his words into English, he seemed afraid to talk in English because he didn't want any of the viewers or audience to make any assumptions, but apparently he still spoke English. I'm a bit confused as to what this film is about but for my understanding it is about a man telling his life about how he loves the traditions of the Chinese people. He spoke a lot about his art work so his time in china may have influenced that. In the beginning he started off speaking in Chinese because he said it warmed his heart that way. So my message from this video is that our looks may be deceiving, many people assume what your character is but actually they don't know your true story as to who you truly are. 

Summer Reading Article 4

I chose the article that says " With kids I'm dad, alone thug" , honestly the title of the article explains what's going on. He's a black father living in a white community with biracial kids. I'm sure whether he's with or without his kids he is still a target. This film just ties in to what's going on in the real world. Racism will never stop because everybody gets looked at differently, not saying everybody is racist but that's a grudge that most people still hold on to.

Article 1

The first article was about how the youth faces a lot of changes in their lives, as he stated in this passage. He spoke to 60 different who came from 60 different districts. The students that he spoke with dealt with things like depression, attempted suicide, gang warfare, sexually and physical abuse, absent parents, poverty, and learning disabilities. While these kids struggled to survive going through these everyday events it didn't stop them from walking across the stage to receive their diploma. Sherman stated, "I spoke about resilience-about my personal struggles with addiction and illness". It was the student speakers who told me the most important stories about survival.

This story was a myth about a hero with a thousand faces , his name was Medusa he was a hero who ventured forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man.He started his day in the ordinary world, and receives a call to enter an unusual world of strange powers and events which was a call to adventure.He accepted the call and was sent to a strange world, he faced many task and trails , some he had to face alone and some he may have assistance. At its most intense, he had to survive a severe challenge, often with help earned along his journey. If he survived, the hero may achieve a great gift which often results in the discovery of important self-knowledge. The hero must then decide whether to return with this boon often facing challenges on the return journey. If the hero is successful in returning, the boon or gift may be used to improve the world.What parts are interesting or confusing? the parts that were interesting and confusing to me were the fact that he accepted the challenge and face all those challenges. Could any of his ideas apply to more modern stories, or stories he does not bring up as examples? I think that a lot of his ideas could apply to more modern stories especially in real life a example could be that somebody got a phone call to go save the world or go save somebody's life. Why might it be necessary that we need to see a hero go through this 3 step process rather than start off perfect and able to accomplish goals ? I think they should start off with the 3 step process because a lot of people could learn a lot as they progress and get better heading forward , because many people think that since they know everything they don't want to hear what other people have to say or they just don't want to listen and learn things a different way. Overall it was a good book it had a lot of gods in the story.

Feet Geek's were inspired by Cedarian Norwood. He noticed that geeks had J's and decided to open a store called Feet Geek's. Sooner or later the store was open for the first time and it was time to hire employees for the job. Bryan , Jared ,TJ all exceeded the expectations for the job and were all hired . High school readiness traits

 Honesty- Cedarian had got caught gambling and had to tell the truth about the situation or more consequences would be taking place

Communicate- chris mom passed away and his other Family says he hasn't talked for awhile since she passed away so they took his to a therapy session to get him to talk

Time management- practice started at 230 and his players showed up a hour later so coach made them run for being late to practice and for making excuses

Organization- Cedarian mom got tired of seeing his room dirty and his bookbag a mess so she took charge and made him clean his room and bag she wanted him to be organized

Ushers new look

Something I learned about Ushers New look is the freshman seminar. It was Something New to me coming into Highschool and It was really cool and they did some pretty cool activities. It kind of helped me to get to know everybody at school.
